Summary

Case Conference at the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy are short, independent modules used to provide up-to-the-minute information on specific disease states, therapies, and research. This Case Conference, Transplant Rejection, focuses on the mechanisms behind the complications transplant patients can experience, specifically transplant rejection of the kidney due to complement cascade, and highlights a new drug therapy which shows promising results in clinical trials for prevention of transplant rejection.
