Summary
A grant-funded initiative by Professor Delesha Carpenter, PharmD, this project sought to teach pharmacists—as frequent-interaction, first-line health-care professionals—how to recognise troubling signs of suicidal ideation and intention and how to have a conversation with patients to guide them to resources, such as the Crisis Line (800-273-8255), to de-escalate a situation.
This was an NIH grant-funded project.
